Why is it always scantily clad young women?? Why not scantily clad young men? ;D Natural Law: Women having naturally more beautiful bodies (ever wonder why both men's magazines AND women's magazines show cleavage? it attracts eye contact from both sexes) therefore are more likely to flaunt and will be more memorable.

Olivia. Yep the magical mystery tours and booking time,we knew all the tricks didn't we.how about booking time from the first mention of Jehovah ,I have known this also. Skirts down to ankles. floral dresses,(old fashioned ones) long gray hair, hats ,no jewellery no fancy hairstyless etc: etc: When I was in a RCC many years ago we dressed respectfully even though we were poor, but there were no set rules ..........except for a head covering as I recall.
Olivia I like maxi skirts modern though and I am a young 62. nothing wrong with being turned out nicely though some say this is pride. should see some of my Cath pals some look like Royalty .

those dress codes I mentioned are in prots churches.. so is the same control and the same JW tactics when you leave them of placing the blame onto you.
nothing new under the sun is there.

Ha, ha! Some of my pioneer sisters related experiences where men opened doors in their birthday suits. Those car group discussions got a little risque at times. One of my favorites was a sister who had pioneered for many years. She claimed that it had happened to her several times and that she just went on with her presentation as if nothing was amiss (knowing her, I believe it too). After the initial few experiences, shock value tends to wear off. I've overheard "worldly men" speaking of such things (attempting to "shock" JWs at the door). After a few years, there's very little left of shock value. LOL...seen one, seen 'em all.

Meh...the old warhorse. She was a trooper, no doubt about it. Interestingly, I still see her around occasionally. Not pioneering any longer (her husband is quite ill); but I believe she's still attending meetings. She and her husband were major supporters of my own pioneering efforts...and through some personal hard times. Just some of the Witnesses I'll never forget nor will I write-off. Their kindnesses were heartfelt and they've found places in my prayers. Which reminds me...
