Hi Shiner. God's works are wondrous: Psalm 145:5 On the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works, I will meditate. (ESV) Among his wondrous works is salvation: Psalm 74:12 Yet God is my King of old, Working salvation in the midst of the earth. (ASV)
Through what instrument did he accomplish salvation? Acts 2:23 this Man, delivered over by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, you nailed to a cross by the hands of godless men and put Him to death. (NASB) What did Paul talk about in his preaching to the Corinthians? 1 Corinthians 1:18 For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. (NASB) 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified (NASB) ...to the Galatians? Galatians 3:1 You foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified? (NASB)
How important is it? Galatians 6:14 But may it never be that I would boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. Based on the above, I think it's pretty wondrous - especially if the word "cross" is allowed to include all that it represents for us. What do you say?
