This has to do with the line of reasoning that goes something like - the shepherds in Luke chapter 2 would not have been out overnight with their sheep at a time that falls under the month of December. For an example of this, see the discussion under "Was Jesus Born in December?" in the Bible Teach book.
I live in an area of the US that gets cold, snowy winters. A "white Christmas" is not unusual.
Today is December 22. The temperature yesterday was said to be in the 50s; I see today they're calling for it to get up in the 60s. And we had snow on the ground earlier.
I think that to attempt to say what would or would not have happened on a given day, in a certain place, 2000 years ago, is attempting to say a lot.
I am not saying that I know that Jesus was born in December. I understand that a lot of people think otherwise. I'm trying to suggest that a person gives some thought to the supposed proofs against Christmas that are presented. Sorry to say, I have not always done this.
