The link given is now out of date. Catholic Cyberforum is a good place for Catholics who want to join a small group of Catholics for friendship and discussions about the Faith, and moral issues. It is moderated well, not a place for people seeking to damage the Church. Topics are very varied. Mods jump on bad manners, on the whole it has a better atmosphere than most. I am one of the moderators. We have a list of good Catholic sites, I will add this one to it. Just click here if you want to see Catholic Cyberforum for yourself. z10.invisionfree.com/Catholic_CyberForum/index.php?

So much to look at/ What do you think of Robert Sungensis?and what do you think of his books.which I intend to buy?Not by faith alone? can Evangelicals and Caths learn from each other? I hope so.Many JWS were lapsed Catholics, who said they didn't have all the answers.

Sorry if I repeated some links posted by others, but here are my favorites. Scripture Catholic - Scriptural Evidence for the Teachings of the Catholic Faith: www.scripturecatholic.com/Biblical Evidence for Catholicism: socrates58.blogspot.com/ (This is Dave Armstrong's site. He has dozens of outstanding articles about subjects of particular interest to Protestants. Jimmy Akin's blog: www.jimmyakin.org/ (Don't let the backwoods style and funky hat fool you. This guy is one of the best apologists around, and he can and does go head to head with the best brains in the apology business.) The Holy See: www.vatican.va/phome_en.htm (This is it. The Mother Church.) Papal Encyclicals Online: www.papalencyclicals.net/all.htm (These are a little better organized than they are on the EWTN site, as you don't need to know the name of the Encyclical; you can browse. You can also sign up to be notified of any new documents as they are posted.) Catholic Canon Law: www.ourladyswarriors.org/canon? (Got a question about Catholic procedures. Find the answer here.) Catholic Encyclopedia: www.newadvent.org/cathen/Liturgy of Hours: Vespers: www.universalis.com/20070221/vespers.htm (If you do morning and evening prayer and don't have your prayer book with you, you can get the daily readings (also for the mass) here.) Newman Reader: www.newmanreader.org/ (Particularly good for Anglicans, but Newman is one of my favorites.) The Official Peter Kreeft Site: www.peterkreeft.com/home.htm (Peter Kreeft has wonderful lectures on his site as MP3 files. I put them on a CD and have listened to them over and over in my car, and learned so much from them.) Catholic Education Resource Center: www.catholiceducation.org/articles/homosexuality/ho0035.html (This site has lots of stuff for Catholic educators. This article by J Budziszewski, a former high-profile Evangelical who converted to Catholicism, is typical.) Mass Times: masstimes.org/dotnet/Default.aspx (You can get the mass times and directions for thousands of Catholic churches. I use it all the time when I travel.) If you need more, I have a couple hundred. Tom

**Is** Kreeft a Catholic? I have enjoyed some of his lectures on dvd before and wasn't entirely sure if he is Catholic? (I am assuming so as you have put him on here as a Catholic link..but just thought I'd clarify it for myself.)
thx peace

Hi Olivia,
Yes, Kreeft is a Catholic. He converted from the Presbyterian Church while in college. His professor told him that the early church writings show that the early Christians believed like John Calvin. Kreeft wanted to verify that, so he read the ECFs and discovered that they were all Catholics. So he converted. He tells the story about it in one of his lectures.
But like most of the growing number of well-known evangelicals that are converting to the Catholic faith, he is very ecumenical. He does not have the "us vs them" mindset, but is more like "let's talk and get together". But Kreeft is very orthodox. His Catholic Christianity, a condensation of the Catechism, may be one of the most easily understandable presentations of the Catholic faith around.
Thomas Howard is a good friend of Kreeft. He converted to the Catholic faith some years ago. He came from a prominent evangelical family.
J Budziszewski, another high-profile evangelical, just converted to the Catholic faith in 2004. He is a political theorist and a master of Natural Law, and an author.
Just this past May, Francis J. Beckwith, president of the Evangelical Theological Society, an association of 4,300 Protestant theologians, resigned his post and became a Roman Catholic.
